This prototype coffee table was designed in the late 1980s by the British designer Tom Dixon (b. 1959).

It was made using metalwork crafted and supplied personally by Tom Dixon in the workshop of Windmill Furniture and Isoken Plus - then based in Chiswick, London.

Approximately 13 tables were produced after this one, with some details modified and they were then sold to 'Joseph' shops.

A decorative, unique piece - it has a cherry wood top which is inset with steel strips, with curved steel ends - a waving steel base and tapering legs.
