Delightful village scene depicting a cottage and church tower. Joan Gillchrest 1918 - 2008 spent many years in Mousehole, Cornwall and this probably shows Paul Church, a landmark in the area. It wasn`t till 1966, after she had thrown her lover out that she started to develop her own intrinsic style. Gouche on panel, signed verso.
Displayed in an impressive silver leaf frame.
