This beautiful split glass giltwood mirror was made in France in the 19th century.

We have 2 of these mirrors from the same property. They are not a pair, but they are very similar. We can sell them together or separately - whichever you prefer. This one is slightly larger. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

The original mirror plate is in two sections on both mirrors - a common design feature of large mirrors from this period.

The giltwood frames are made with an egg and dart border.

Both mirrors come from the estate of the late American actor Dodi Heath (1934 - 2019).

Heath was best known for her role in Brigadoon 1954 with Gene Kelly and as a main star in The Diary of Anne Frank in 1959. She enjoyed a long, varied career in theatre and on the screen.

Her apartment in St James', London was reknowned for hosting a glittering array of stars from Muhammad Ali to Frank Sinatra etc. The decor was 1970s glamour, styled by the famous designer - Nicky Haslam.
