Large French 1920s Decorative Chandelier

This chandelier was made in France in the 1920s.

The chandelier has a gilt metal frame with a nice warm patina. The design is highly decorative, with sweeping arms metalwork rising towards the top. 

It holds twelve candle-style lights on the bottom tier and six on the top tier. Each light has plain card sleeves that resemble traditional wax candles. Each light sits in a shallow, clear glass dish, which adds extra sparkle and refinement.

Crystal adornments are abundant throughout the fixture. Large faceted teardrop pendants hang from the arms and centre, along with large scalloped crystal pendants. Strings of large rectangular beads drape in swags between the arms, enhancing the chandelier’s luxurious and romantic feel.
