A fantastic ceramic tongue plate that would have been used in a butcher's shop to display a whole tongue ready for slicing. Raised centre with printed decoration. Faded gilt edging. Stamped with K. & C. Co. B on the reverse, this plate was produced by Keeling & Company in Stoke-on-Trent.
