This is a great pair of Benin style bronze sculptures. Each lion displays great character and incredible detail, please have a look at all our photographs for a closer look.
The male lion has a small antelope in his jaws and the female is clearly delighted at the prospect of a good meal. Interesting - as it is usually the females of the pride who do the hunting!
The facial expressions are brilliant!
We are selling these as a pair. We also have a bronze water buffalo, complete with friendly ox-pecker birds on her ears. Please get in touch for more information.
